Active Birth and Pregnancy Yoga

The aim of these classes is to enhance your sense of well being throughout pregnancy and to provide you with information, support and practical tools to encourage a positive and empowering birth experience.

The classes include:

Yoga postures to strengthen mind and body, ease commom ailments of pregnancy and prepare your body for the physical demands of labour and birth

Breath work, one of the most useful tools for coping with labour and birth

practicing particular postures that are suited to childbirth, which allow you to adopt the postures that feel natural to you in labour

Optimal fetal positioning, positions that encourage your baby into an advantageous position for birth, increasing your chances of a natural birth

Physiological process of labour and birth, which will help you to understand how you can promote hormone production and enhance your body's natural coping mechanisms for labour and birth

Relaxation and visualisation, to help you access your inner strength and wisdom

The opportunity to meet and share your experience of pregnancy with other pregnant women

Partner workshops, which will provide your partner with practical tools to support you effectively during labour and birth
